With warmer water pushing its way up we are starting to see the change from Spring to Summer fishing. This, the first non puppy size Dogsnapper of the season at Las Arenas, ate a big bait at Punta Perico.   Captain K showing off a beautiful Yellowfin taken at Roca Montana on a "zebra". They don't bite every day but when they do... Be ready! Bigger gear helps avoid break offs and multi-hour fights.
The mixed bag continued through the Dia del Niño - May 1st (Labor Day) - Cinco de Mayo long weekend celebrate-a-thon. Marlin, Amberjack, Cabrilla, Roosterfish, Sailfish and Wahoo all made an appearance at Roca Montana. |
