2015 Fishing continues to surprise us with a strange mix of cold water and warm water species. April typically means Pargo, Cabrilla, Sierra and Yellowtail but this year Tuna, Marlin, Wahoo, Amberjack, Roosterfish and Dorado decided to arrive early... Or maybe stay late? Who knows? Who cares?! We will take it!

While our main season in Mag Bay runs from September to January, we also offer custom packages year round for those of you who would like to try your hand at fishing on the Pacific side of the peninsula. A recent two day fishing trip to Magdalena provided excellent top-water inshore fishing for Cabrilla, Broomtail Grouper, Snapper (Pargo), Sierra, Barracuda and Yellowtail. Light tackle paired with spoons and poppers was the ticket at the mouth of the bay for the above species while swimbaits were the go-to lure for spotted bay bass and corvina in the mangroves. If you are interested in the awesome fishing available in Bahia Magdalena please give us a call or send us an email for more information! |
